Oct 26 Latte Art Throw Down

Have you been practicing pouring your hearts, tulips & rosettas?! We are SO stoked to host y’all on Thu Oct 27th from 6 - 9pm for our Latte Art Throw Down & Costume Contest!

 Costume contest is first at 6:30pm! We’ll have 2 first place prizes - one for a kid & one for an adult. ⁣

⁣

 Latte art sign ups start at 6 pm. There is no buy-in, this is event is free and open to all, whether you currently work in coffee or used to. Come throw down! Everyone is welcome to watch too! You don’t have to be a barista or work in a cafe to have a good time here. ⁣

Latte art is judged on symmetry, contrast, volume and texture. Each round will be a different latte art style, getting more challenging! First round is a heart, then tulip & a rosetta for the final round. All of the judging is blind to make sure there’s no bias. ⁣

 We’ll be using thee best Straus Barista series while milk & all the beverages will be handed off to the audience. ⁣

⁣

 First place barista takes home $250 cash! 1st - 3rd place will also get a ton of swag, a Barista magazine subscription, coffee cupping spoons by @umeshisho and a gift certificate to Balletto Vineyards. ⁣

 Every competitor will get consolation prizes! Cafe Aquatica will have fresh roasted coffee beans for you plus Guayaki donated a ton of Yerba Mate, made right here in Sebastopol.⁣
